Garmin Edge 800 questions

I've had a Garmin Edge 705 for a year or so now and I've just bought an 800. I haven't been able to use the 800 much (broken collar bone). I wonder if there's anyone who can answer the following:

1. The 705 had a speed alert but I can't find this on the 800.
2. The 705 had a compass but I can't find one on the 800.
3. One of the screens on the 705 gave a list of upcoming turns and the distance to them, can't find this on 800.
4. Finally, I don't like the look of the map on the 800 as much as the one on the 705. Is there a setting to change this?
5. OK, really finally. Although the screen on the 800 is twice the size of the 705 it still has the same amount of pixels which means it's not as sharp and can be difficult to read small characters. Is this a permanent problem or is there anything you can do to improve it?

Top man. Did I miss that in the manual or is it another one of Garmins' secret functions?

Agreed but my one moan about them is the shear amount of nonsense you have to wade through to get to a useful answer.

And the lack of comment from Garmin, well for the 705 it look like they do not respond to forum posts.
