I've,e got the 305 and it,s great, does heart rate, cadence, ascent, altitude, lap time etc, I think the 705 has better mapping and a colour screen. I bought mine in 2008 for £175 from crc in think.
I have an 800 with heart rate/candence I got it with mapping for 320 then sold the mapping for 80. 800 brand new for only 240 with all the monitors. The problem is, more people that do this, less the mapping is worth, you know all that supply and demand crap.
The 705 does full mapping, cadence, power and heart rate. It doesn't record temperature like the 800 but otherwise covers the same functions including lots of training stuff. It is not as nicely presented as the 800 and the mount is cable tied to the bars rather than o ringed. You can pick a new 705 with HRM strap, cadence sensor and Euro maps for just under 220 quid.
