They are good, I like mine as well. Not used the routing yet though, just use mine to record.

I love my Garmin 200 too but I wish there was a clock on it.
Completely agree. It's a pain on a commute not having a clock so having to look at my watch. Luckily I always leave in plenty of time but I'm OCD about knowing the time.

I used my for a route today (not the first time) and I love this function. I'm not distracted by average speed. I didn't know I could add courses from Strava though. I do mine in Garmin Connect.

Anything that exports as gpx file. Mapmyride does it too.

Totally agree....fantastic bit of kit for the price. Never bothered with routes I just go whichever way I choose at each junction and head home when I'm happy with the mileage.... Might download a route to try the function out.... But will admit if it has any fault it is lack of clock as previously mentioned

Press and hold lower left button (couple of secs) to display the start-up screen with the clock, as far as I'm aware the Edge 200 continues data-logging without a pause, I normally then select "Ride" to return to previous display.

Previously posted by another CCer (not sure who).

I'm thinking of getting the brains of the outfit one to stop her looking at her phone for navigation - which is mainly checking passing street names if we're somewhere new - is it any use for that?

No. It's not a sat nav or smart phone.
It records rides, is a speedo and you can follow a pre loaded route. That's as much as it does.

had my 200 edge for ages , I agree with others, it records and can take a route map which gives you a rough idea of the route you know youre taking anyway
