I've just noticed today that there are a few changes to the Garmin Connect site.

So far I have noticed that you can edit the name of the activity prior to uploading it to connect. You can now create and save a route on the website so I assume you won't have to use sites like bikeroute and gpspies etc anymore.

It also looks as though you can share routes between other members of connect.

Looks pretty good so far.

I always have problems reading data from my Garmin, regardless of whether it is into Garmin Connect or Endomondo. It was the same before my PC rebuild, and regardless of whether I use IE or Firefox. I have to close down my browser, disconnect and reconnect my Garmin and then try again.

Bloody pain in the arse

First impressions to me so far are: the mapping isn't detailed enough to show roads through my local park, its a bit jittery the route creation (sometimes I have to click a few times), the profile of the route doesn't show on my garmin correctly, I'm unsure if its creating course/cue points and where (Edit: just brought into TC it hasn't), and it crashes when I go to edit the course. I think I'll stick with RidewithGPS for now, it also gives me more info when building a route (cue points, elevation and gradient).

Not sure if this will help but change your usb cable, I had similar problems at home, but not at work. At home I used a cheapo mini usb and this was causing the problem.

Ahhh... I'm using the cable supplied with the Forerunner but that means nothing in terms of 'brokenness' lol. I'll try that after my next session and see what happens
