This is still a problem
Try realigning the magnets and pedal sensor
Then reset it by pressing the button on the sensor itself
Maybe the cable tie around pedal isn't tight enough or the. Sensor itself is slipping therefore not catching the pedal sensor
I've tightened all the cable ties, if I tighten them any more I fear they will snap! reset the sensor, realigned the magnet and senosor.
I lost my sensor magnet on my crank arm and replaced it with a powerful magnet from
ebay. These things are tiny and no chance they'll fall off. Cadence records fine.
I suspect some of the trouble I have had was down to the crank arm magnet moving (problem seems worse when wearing shoe covers.) so I got a magnet (great idea) that simply sits on the pedal axle (as long as it's steel!)
Itried all this and it worked, for 2.5 miles of smooth road then packed in again
How old is it? Might be worth replacing the battery anyway to rule that out.
It was brand new, bought at the begining of November, since which I've traveled around 900 miles. Perphaps I have over estimated it's weather ressistance, as I ride all weathers. However I suspect that it's just the cheap way the unit attaches to the frame that makes it unreliable. Is there an alternative sensor I could use that would pair with my Garmin 800?
