Garmin 800 - Virtual Trainer

Can anyone tell me how to get the Virtual trainer split screen up on the Edge 800 please?
I've got courses set up for my regular commute and it'll tell me if I win or lose at the end - would just be handy to have the blow by blow screen up whilst riding to make the commute more "interesting".

On the same subject, I've got a route I do some days before work, does anyone know how to 'start' a race, i.e load a course and race?

Do the route once, pressing start where you want to start in future and end at the appropriate end point. Press reset afterwards. Upload you activities to the myGarmin site. You'll then have the option to download these to your device as courses. That's how I did mine anyway.

Tried the Virtual Racer this morning...it's turned on and when I look at the graph view I can see two circles (one me and one I assume is the VR). I was expecting to see the screen with the 2 racers on it but I've scrolled through all of the screens and haven't found this. Am I doing something wrong and if so what?

Is there extra software I need to download for the split "racer" screen. I've looked everywhere (I think) and just can't get that screen to appear.

i know its not really any help but i tried a 'race' yesterday for the first time and i actually got the two cyclists on screen, possibly you have a software error? unfortunately ive only had mine for a week so can't really help as i'm still getting to grips with it myself.
