Hi guys,

I want to buy the 800 but not sure which software pack to go for.

Is the discoverer map the only that shows cycle paths? It seems to be the best value option as the map alone sells for 160 on amazon.

Most of my riding is. B roads and cycle tracks.

Just get opencyclemap or openstreetmaps and whack it on there and save a lot of money.

I had the OS mapping but lost the card. i now have open street maps, but intend to buy another copy of the os maps - they show far more fine detail when navigating off road. On road open street maps would be fine

As said there's stuff available for free to compensate so is it worth the extra expense? Unlikely.

You can get open source mtb maps as well, so these have the usual off road routes. You can also get the Garmin maps if you know where to look.

I have the original Garmin maps that are a couple of years old, as well as an upto date 'copy' as the cost of an update was stupid money, for just one new road in my area. I also have the open mtb maps.
