Hi everybody , sorry to bother you all yet again and honestly i have tried to sort it out myself before posting -BUT Is anybody out there able to tell me if it is possible to get on my trainer and watch my progress on a computer screen . i know there are programs that do this out there . i have a garmin edge 705 and i am guessing that i need something like a 'ant ' for them to talk to each other but i have looked and none of them say they are compatible with 705 . Am i just being thick again or is it actually harder than it sounds - any help appreciated ps - i have the cadense monitor on so data is there ready

Its not possible to my knowledge, you'd need an 510 or 810.

But, assuming you have the ant+ hardware ie: speed/cadence/HRM, you don't actually need the garmin turned on, the stick and whatever app become a pseudo.

Can have the garmin on too though, ANT+ is brilliantly open

would you mind if you talked thru it as though i was a complete dimwit as i dont know how to do it . i have the garmin (obviously ) speed cadence thing also heartrate and found garmin site for software - so am i right in thinking a ANT+ usb stick plugged in and software loaded then i can either go garmin connect or trainer road ( if i want to pay ) - and could i watch say sufferfest and see what i am doing at same time - sorry to be a pain

Doesnt need to be a garmin stick, the suunto movestick mini is often cheaper if you search google shopping.

Connect doesnt do ant+ like you desire so TR is probably going to be the best option,TR itself will scale and play/pause all of the sufferfest videos if you own them, all you do is load the video file into the right ride

Theres a guide written by myself in health and fitness as it happens. Cant link it easily on ipad
