Agreed, i would not want anyone seeing my hr data as they would instantly know that i was struggling like f***It should've disappeared once it was found and put the readings on the screen.lucky them to have the power meter.
I don't know if it's true or not but I have heard people say the can pick up others HRM and know how this person is doing on the ride, technically it's possible but a waste of time in my opinion. Some people keep there HR private on strava etc so there don't know how much there putting in on climbs etc

Unless you know the individual's MHR, you can't really tell whether they're struggling or not...
If someone is reading 185 bpm and your only at 160, you know you've got more to give and there 'probably' at max.
As I said before I do agree and did say 'probably' at the MHR and that people do THINK that way. Not everyone knows the facts but let's be honest if you want to compare someone else's heart rate then more than likely you will know there gauge MHR and really you should be doing more than worrying about what someone else is doing. I did only mention it as the OP maybe didn't know. A lot of people don't know what to do with there HR and it's just another piece of data. Not if their max is 205 and yours is 165...
