You do know you can configure the screens however you like?

Ahhhhhhhh I found it but I don't know how

Rather than going to amount of detail per page and selecting zero it lets you scroll through the details and change them to what you like on the page .

Odd thing today ( the first time I have used the garmin ) Nearing the end of my ride a message appeared saying power meter detected . There where other bikes nearby so maybe it picked up one of those ?
Anyway , it gave me the option of yes or no to configure the power meter . I had to turn the garmin off and back on to get rid of the message .
Any ideas what that was all about ?

It should've disappeared once it was found and put the readings on the screen.lucky them to have the power meter.
I don't know if it's true or not but I have heard people say the can pick up others HRM and know how this person is doing on the ride, technically it's possible but a waste of time in my opinion. Some people keep there HR private on strava etc so others don't know how much there putting in on climbs etc

Agreed, i would not want anyone seeing my hr data as they would instantly know that i was struggling like f***

Unless you know the individual's MHR, you can't really tell whether they're struggling or not...

I do agree however It can give you a better idea, as I didn't mention anyone struggling. If someone is reading 185 bpm and your only at 160, you know you've got more to give and there 'probably' at max. That's just the way people think. I prefer to read my own data and others don't interest me.

Not if their max is 205 and yours is 165...
As I said before I do agree and did say 'probably' at the MHR and that people do THINK that way. Not everyone knows the facts but let's be honest if you want to compare someone else's heart rate then more than likely you will know there gauge MHR and really you should be doing more than worrying about what someone else is doing. I did only mention it as the OP maybe didn't know. A lot of people don't know what to do with there HR and it's just another piece of data.

So the power meter detected was a heart rate monitor from someone else even though I plugged into the garmin no HRM ? I tried to ask the guy that passed me if it was him but I was dribbling and he just said thankyou . I did however do him on the hill
