It seems to have good reviews on Amazon so am considering getting one as the ordinary cycle computers dont last very long and fed up with wires. Do any of you have one? Don't want to spend hundreds on other types but the 200 is only £80 so not bad. Your views please.

Fantastic piece of kit. Does exactly what it says in the tin.
You can also use to plan and follow a route, though is a breadcrumb trail it works very well.

For a stand alone cycling computer, you really can't go wrong.

Does what you need it to providing you keep it charged (14-16 hours run time before needs charging) and you remember to a) turn it on, and b) resume it if you manually pause it & c) it can find the satellites (this is a problem for all models though! I live in a satellite black spot!)

But it does not do cadence or heart rate monitoring, so if you want those, you need the Edge 500 model or above (which was recently on amazon lightening deals for £89.99)

What cycle computers have you had issues with? We took our Cateye micro wireless ones on tour and they lasted and lasted without (too many) issues (when not cycling through wind farms that is!)

Use mine on commutes all year round in all weathers. Great bits of kit. I also have the 705 for long distance stuff, but for general fit and forget, they are great. do look out for bargains, especially at Halfords as us British Cycling Members can get an additional 10% off any offer (i.e. it's not restricted if there is an offer on).

It will do basic navigation but I've not used it for that. One big advantage over the bigger units is that it boots and is ready to go very quickly. The big units have to load the software up first which slows the boot.

Only cheap ones from Asda and such likes. They don't last very long.
