Garmin 200 query

I've just used mapmyride to plot a cycle ride and successfully downloaded it to my Garmin 200 and its safety stored in the 'Courses' menu to use the 'breadcrumb' navigation of the unit

Question is when I ride the route will it then also appear in the 'Rides' section so I can download it onto Strava?

Yup. I've done this before with routes I've put in mine. After the ride just plug in, launch Strava and upload. Job's a good 'un.

Hi,
I was thinking of buying a garmin 200, but have since discovered that it would be a waste of time for me as I only have an iPad , and no laptop/PC, so with this in mind is there any apps I could use on my galaxy s4 that would be similar to the information gained from having a garmin. I'm on strava, but am after something were I could look at / follow routes that other people have done local to me. Any ideas please.

If you get a 510 or a 810 I think you could upload via Bluetooth to the S4. Alternatively theres a Strava App and another popular one is Emondo and you also get a garmin connect app; never used the though.

Or you could get a WAHOO key, it lets you link your gps unit to and ipad/iphone like any other ANT+ sensor.

I think from the blurb that is to allow your iphone to use ANT+ sensors to record H.R. Cad ect...
