On going repairs have had power button cover split, power button come away from the printed circuit board, fixed screen going bad ( bottom half lines on display, battery lead come loose after a crash, now it's water in the unit. This is the last attempt at a repair. Have had it since it came on the market so had my monies worthout of it. Hopefully this repair may work , first time I have had water inside, if the rubber seal is gone it's time for an upgrade.

If this is the last time you are going to repair it, then you could potentially clean it, dry it, check it works and then maybe replace the gasket with some silcone sealant like that used in bathrooms or kitchens. Get the clear stuff and apply it, once you've got the other half of the case back on then clean up the excess from outside and job is done.
