Just had a random thought: SUV doesn't really stand for sports utility vehicle, it stands for stuff you vehicle. A bit of a close cousin to the UAV, which isn't unmanned aerial vehicle, but instead urban assault vehicle.

Before anyone says it: yes, I've had a few too many negative encounters with motorists this year, so my confidence in my fellow road-users is at an all-time low.
