What are the mudguards? what are you trying to put them on? maybe there's no mount point on the new frame or should it go behind the brake caliper?

You need to unscrew the brake caliper from behind and then the screw will slot through the mudguard brake bridge and then you can reattach the brake caliper.

You have dual pivot brakes so you need to remove the brake and put the mudguard hanger behind the brake on its pivot.

I tried all that there's a block of metal underneath the brake caliper mount stopping the mudguard from going up. So I've took the black clip that attached to the mudguard, and drilled a hole and attached a bolt from underneath the rear mudguard and attached it to the frame. All fixed now.

Other bodge/hack that works: drill two holes in the mudguard and then attach to the bike with a zip tie and do away with the bridge.

I wasn't sure when I put the message out but when I had a look at how my old mudguard went on from old photos I went down the garage and had another look. Then I thought why don't I try and drill a hole and put a bolt up underneath it worked I had 2 options pay about 35 to 40 £ or have a go nothing to lose.

Yep, that'll probably work. Keep an eye that the tyre doesn't rub on the bolt and you don't get any stress causing the mudguard to crack.

A more elegant option would have been to get a thin aluminium mudguard bracket and have it mount underneath the brake caliper so it wouldn't catch on the metal block, the plastic mount was probably a bit too big to do that though.

A couple of photos with the caliper removed would probably have got you some better advice quicker though as that metal mount on the frame is uncommon and wasn't visible in your original photo.

I have the same fitting on my PX Hurricane . quite a nice solution and save issues with the bridge and (possible) collecting water in the hole causing rust
