Hi all,

I'm looking to upgrade my Mavic CXP22's which came as standard with my boardman road race, I have £300-350 to spend ready for some upcoming sportives before the winter roles in.

Has anyone got any experience with the wheel sets above, I'm 75kg and the cxp22's are running fine just looking to upgrade really.

With that Budget I'd go for Campagnolo Zonda for around £280. All though you can get wheels from planet x for £150 which are more bang for buck.

In between here and there
The downside to Fulcrums, if you are anything like me the rear rim will wear before the front and they do not seem easy to buy separately.

Can't spell, Can't Punctuate....Sue Me
a good set of handbuilts from dcr wheels approx £300

a23 rims, sapim race spokes, shimano 105 hubs or even ultegra hubs and never look back.

My road bike had cpx22's and I upgraded to equipes, much lighter wheels and stiffer.
The seem to improve acceleration and climbing but main benefit for me is they are very easy to service, especially the freehub.

I've taken my time to decide but I went for the fulcrums due to having 3 colleagues recommend the fulcrum as they run them too.
