FSA BB30 Cranksets

Sorry if the answer to my question is hidden amongst the many other threads but I couldn't find it. My question is - I have a Chrome FSA OMEGA BB30 Crankset on my Cannondale CAADX, but I want a Black Crankset to match everything else on my bike. I have seen a Black FSA Gossamer BB30 Crankset on e-bay, but will it fit? I'm hoping for a straight swap!

I am looking for a crankset myself to replace the original FSA Gossamer that came on my CAADX , is your Omega newish as I would buy it off you if you were selling ?

I have a brand new black omega FSA chainset BB30 .... in FS section if any of the above is interested
And they are Genuine

Hi, Thanks for the offer but yours is a Road compact 50/34, and mine is a Cross 46/36. I know I could swap the rings but that seems a waste really as it is only the actual Spider and crank arms I need. Thanks for replying though - JPB

Thanks for the warning, but it was a different one that I saw. As for buying mine - I only bought the bike yesterday to replace my own CAADX which is too big (Thanks Evans Cycles!), but it is absolutely Mint, so I would say that the Crank set has had very little use. I could swap it with the Black one from my old CAADX but I just want to sell that one rather than using it for donor parts. If I can change it anytime soon you are welcome to buy it though - JPB

Thanks for the advice. I was put off by the fact that mine is solid on the chain - ring side, but the one I'm looking at has a bloody big hole through it. Is that what is referred to as Hollowtech? Would it still be compatible though?

Ah, then your other might be GXP. BB30 is hollow all the way through.

I think the Omega crankset is solid on the drive side unlike a Gossamer , they both come in two different spindle sizes I think , from the website.

Thank you for taking the time to research the facts mate. I let the eBay one go rather than making a rash purchase. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the Chrome one but I'm being fussy.

I got mine replaced with Shimano CX50 on 4600 BB in my old CAADX. Worked perfectly smooth and somewhat better than the original (Sora 2013, so it must have been something generic).
