One of two frames I'm offering for sale is a 54cm Nelson 531. Plenty of detail is provided below - please get in touch if you're interested and/or have any other questions.

SUMMARY
* Nelson 531 Renovated Steel Frame + forks + headset
* 540mm seat tube (c-c), 545mm top tube (c-c)
* Semi-horizontal dropouts so good for fixed
* Cinelli bottom bracket shell
* £70 if collected (SW London), £85 posted
* Photos: http://s941.photobucket.com/albums/ad258/simon_adams_uk/Nelson/

DETAILS
* Reynolds 531 'Renovated' sticker so whilst badged as a Nelson the original manufacturer is unknown
* Forks are steel - more than that unknown - matching paint scheme as frame
* 1" threaded forks and headset
* Headset is 'Rudelli Promax' - good condition but by no means excellent

Frame features:
* 27.2mm seatpost
* 68mm English BB shell (good threads)
* 700c
* rear triangle 126mm (I've always used 130mm hub with no problems whatsoever but have NOT cold-set the frame so either 126 or 130 can be used)
* brake drop is c.48mm so either normal (usually 39-49mm) or deep-drop (47-57mm) brakes can be used
* Cinelli branded bottom bracket (I don't have the frame number to hand but it's clearly evident - Nelson cycles still exist and *may* be able to shed more light on the frame's history)
* generally quite nice lugs with a pretty classy integrated seatstay-seatclamp arrangement
* downtube gear bosses
* 2x cage bosses
* braze-on front mech boss
* seatstay chain hanger
* internal rear brake cable routing
* semi-horizontal rear dropouts (ie easily converted to fixed)
* dropout adjusters (never used, 1 missing its head)
* modern style brake drilling
* no mudguard mounting points of any sort
* generally fairly tight clearances so tyres limited to c.25mm

The mid-blue and silver paint scheme is what you could call say 'interesting' or 'retro'! I've grown to like it but it's starting to show its age with a number of fairly minor imperfections coming through. If I was to keep the bike I'd be happy keeping it as it is but in time it could benefit from a respray.

However the frame is straight and true and has a good number of years left in it. Reason for selling is that I've upgraded to a 653 frame which also has mudguards for winter use.

A very similar Nelson 531 frame went for £90 on eBay. Given the ok-ish paint scheme / finish on this frame I'm looking for £70 if collected from SW London (either my home or mutually convenient train station). If it has to be posted then it would be £85.
