Frozen Garmin Edge

hopefully someone can help me. Just switched my Garmin edge on to delete recent activities and it's frozen solid. It will not switch of or even come out of current screen.

Anyone else had this and know how to unfreeze or reboot.

Each model is different; what model is it? Then Google for "Reset garmin edge xyz"

Thanks Moss think I have sussed it now.

Usually you hold the on/off button for 10-15 seconds, alternatively it will run out of battery eventually, and you can charge it and it should switch back on ok.

Hah, must be something in the air, mine did exactly the same today (Edge 520). Fortunately the reset seems to have fixed it. Having said that, must be the night for it, none of my helmet cam footage has saved for todays commute, the Garmin has frozen and the USB charger I have just bought, err, doesn't !

Put it in the microwave on "defrost" for two minutes.

My Edge did this, half way through a ride on Monday. When I got it to work again, I did a factory reset and it's sorted itself out. Maybe it's 'Frozen Garmin Week' and none of us got the email.

I always post about switch to a phone for navigation and everyone always groans. Yet how many garmin frozen threads are there?

Mine froze. Now use phone. It's awesome, clearer, better, lasts just as long and doesn't freeze.

Switch to airplane mode and you get about 3 hours. I use a charging case and a quadlock and get about 7 hours. Did a 200 mile tour one weekend and it never got close with charging at night.
