front wheel side to side movement.

I pumped up the tyres yesterday and went for a bike ride today and I noticed the tyre was rubbing the front mudguard so tried to adjust the mudguard and it kept happening so I reduced the PSI slightly, and it helped and I managed to do the ride. when I span the wheel to test if it touched the mudguard I noticed there is side to side movement (only slight). I also noticed this when cycling. with the wheel still when I try and move it side to side it doesn't move.
I only got the bike September (new) and only done 135 miles since.
what is it? is it that it is no longer true or something else
didn't take it for its 6 weeks check (service) as I only did <30 miles

You could have knocked it out of true on a pothole I suppose. Have you checked that the wheel is seated properly in the dropouts. Maybe try loosening the quick release skewer and make sure it is seated properly and tighten up again.

+1 for the above about re-seating in the dropouts.

if you lift the wheel OFF the ground and can get the slightest movement rocking the top of the rim sideways - then it could be cones
happened to me when i found riding in a straight line was difficult

good chance to regrease the cones properly anyway.!

tried reseating the wheel a couple of times and the same fault, so I took it to the place I got it and asked them to sort it.
they are also going to the free 6 week service on it also.
