Front rack mounting hole thread size?

I've got forks with mounting holes for a front pannier rack. I was considering using one of the mounting holes to attach a home made light mount.

Anyone know what size thread the holes take? If not, I'll probably end up buying a bunch of M3/4/5 type bolts at the local DIY store and seeing what fits.

I just thought someone might know and save my getting unneeded sizes and risking damaging the threads.

Cheers.

Usually M5. I've just mounted my mudguards to the pannier braze-ons to avoid the disc brakes. If it's going into aluminium I'd recommend using stainless bolts and taking them out every now and again to avoid the metal corroding around them.

Cool, I've give M5 a go then.

The forks are apparently CroMo (according to the Giant website - I've a 2008 CRS). Chances are I'll only use this light mount on evening rides on unlit lanes and remove it for my standard street-lit commute - don't *think* I need to worry too much about it corroding.
