my front mech wasnt working properly, having trouble going from middle ring to big ring, so after various websites, various videos, of looking and trying to learn, i thought sod it and strip it and clean it.
easy enough to get of, but trying to set it back up to work properly was really time consuming and very frustrating, but i tell you i did it and the gear shifting works a treat, 1 click and its shifted straight away!
pleased with my self.......yes i am

The springs are a bit 'strong' aren't they.

Not ever stripped one myself - liberal WD40 in crappy weather.

yeah they are, but i'm glad i did it, i learnt alot.
just setting the low and high screws to work in corrosponence with the right chain rings was the pain in the bum, but i did it after alot of swearing and tool throwing lol.

I bet it will only take you ten minutes if you ever have to do it again, the learning is very satisfying (if a bit painful).
