Front fork lock out

Hi,

Did a bit of a ride yesterday on my Kraken, as it was a road ride I used the fork lockout.

When this is engaged The forks can still be compressed slightly, its not a mechanical solid lock out.

However, after the ride (about 10 mins after) I relesed the fork lock and the forks extended by about an inch, maybe a bit more. Should that happen?

What sort of forks are they? If I didn't know better I'd suggest you had actually wound the preload up to max whilst sat on the bike.

they sound like suntour sr2's to me... (happens on my bike)

Hi,

They are Suntour XCR 120mm Travel.

Lock out forks still have a bit of play when locked out, it is to protect the insides.

I have Suntour Nex 4110's and they do a similar thing. They are quite temperamental with cold and heat affecting how free they run and when turned to max preload they still have a bit of springing back to them

It does seem that it is just going down to where the preload takes effect.
