Been to dentist to arrange extraction of two 'historic monument' teeth that have been on their way our for years, and have been place holders for when I decided what to do (probably a bridge for one, and a gap for the other). All got pushed back by covid, the dentist leaving the NHS afterwards, no other NHS places left anywhere in Devon (pretty much), and so ending up being a private patient by default. Grrr.

Anyway, needs to be done now, as problem teeth can end up being bad problems for dodgy heart valves, so they need to get sorted & healed.

Yay for being 61!

afaik tooth/gum disease increases the risk of heart disease in general, also suggestions it increases other risks, including dementia and cancer, definitely one to get treated asap

Good send off for our friend. Really sad event as they lost their 20 something son a few years back rather unexpectedly, now for her to lose her husband in a freak accident so soon is really upsetting.
Were going to go back to their house for the "afters" but a couple of the relatives were coughing and spluttering and I absolutely didn't want to get some lurg or other.
I also refrained from saying the IT Crowd classic "Sorry for your loss. Move on" though it was playing in the back of my mind very loudly as we queued up to give our condolences.
160 mile round trip was most pleasant in the lovely sun, though discovered air-con is playing up in car. Some flaps are stuck and resetting does nada.
I shall raise a bottle of real ale to him tonight.

It's probably caused in BT's instance by all the Brasso diluted with spittle coming back into his mouth as he breathes....... yuck.

A bit of garden fettling done, in the sunshiiine 😎. Still feeling rather weak, possibly side effect of the post-op course of antibiotics, finish that tomorrow so 🤞for an uplift. I need to get the rotavator attachment power tool thing working over the beds while it's still this lovely dry weather, will need to get all my hanging out parts strapped up and secured away. Prob just as well I retired from the pro gardener job!

Bathrooming update…
Pinno may appreciate this.

Stud wall moved about 350mm into an adjacent bedroom to accommodate the large shower tray so no starting to rebuild instead of knocking the proverbial out the house.

Got a socket to sort which lands dead centre in the new wall which is typical. New pipe work, sort the floor for the tray so it’s all flush and fancy.

I’m trying to convince MrsHD that a Prosecco fridge could be incorporated but she’s not so struck on that idea.
