Doing morning checks before setting off on ride this morning. Spun front wheel to check disc brake clearance and hub. All good, just spun up and gradually slowed
Did same with rear, spun up with a turn of peddles and It runs but slows much quicker to a dead stop as if I lightly applied a brake
Disc brakes all clear,
Wheel true
Chain correct tension and in line
Is there a certain amount of resistance on a freewheel hub on single speeds ?
Will try post a short video later

No, there shouldn't be. Is this your new Genesis bike? For all new bikes I recommend removing the wheels straightaway and checking in case the bearings were poorly adjusted at the factory. Could save a lot of heartache later on. On my latest new bike the rear wheel bearings were way too tight, so just as well I checked before riding it 1000s miles. And while you are checking you can install top quality grease such as Finish Line.

By the way, there is a sub forum for deviants like you and me.

Tried up loading video, spun it up to speed and seems good to be honest but because of the unknown with rear sprocket and Genesis not replying to email about, size, thread etc I think I may take it to leisure lakes and get them to check it over and fit new cog. Plus they can go through type with me. Good knowledgable guys & gals
