Freehub body help

i have a specialized rockhopper sport 2013
Its on specialized hubs and a shimano 9 speed cassette, can i just buy a normal shimano 9 speed freehub body or will i need to buy the specialized one for twice the price. I would of thougt they are pretty universal at the lower end of the market.

You will need the correct freehub body for the hub in question. Put the hub model number into ebay and see what comes up.

damn sounds like its going to be too expensive to fox anytime soon then

Definetly need the specific freehub body for specialised unbranded hubs....not an easy thing to find aftermarket

Just had the same problem with my 2013 Secteur. Was a Joytec hub, and the replacement was about £35. Ended up getting a replacement set of wheels to upgrade from the axis that were fitted!

Very common prob on a lot of the Spray bikes unfortunately.
