Free hub oddity.

So I have sram xo group set XD 12 speed on my specialised epic.

Using the roval wheelset it works perfectly with the X0 cassette.
When I fit the GX cassette the axle goes a bit stiff.
It's as though the cassette is nipping the axle when tight.
Loose fit it's ok but you need them screwed upto torque setting ish..

Both work perfectly on my Hunt XD hub.

So any ideas...coz I cant see a reason.
I seem to have more trouble getting the gears indexed perfectly with the GX too.
I could return it as I only got it xmas time.
And it's had no use as such

Does that require a clutch on the derailleur? Just thinking chain slap here.

It's a SRAM 12speed 10-50 xo it has a clutch mec.

I know what's happening, it's just odd.
I've solved it by swapping cassettes over
