I suspect the back end of my frame ( https://www.cyclechat.net/ ) is slightly bent...

How do I go about getting it checked / straightened?

I don't think it's far out; wheel isn't quite parallel with seat tube when viewed from the rear. May just be production tolerances.

Where are you based? A decent LBS should be able to advise you. You might need a frame builder or restorer to do the work if its particularly dramatic or intrustive. Might be just a job of cold setting (I say 'just' but I dont really know how complicated this is), or filing one of the dropouts, I dont really know, it likely correctable, but its more down to how much it costs to correct vs how much the bike it worth.

Is the bike steel?

Yes, it's Reynolds tubing.

I'll give that string check a go! Maybe it won't be too bad.

I reckon I could make some of those dropout alignment tools.

Many thanks!
