frame protectors

i have ordered my first road bike and when i had a look at my old hybrid there seems to be a lot of paint missing on the chainstay.

so my question is. is it a good idea to get frame protectors/chainstay protector for my new bike.

if so which ones, and does anyone else use them.

ps new bike is a verenti rhigos 03 (carbon frame)

Yes, IMHO it is a good idea to use a chainstay protector.

I use some hardy transparent sticky tape (something like clear duct tape) on one bike, and this on another.
