Force 22 v Ultegra

What are people's thoughts on SRAM Force 22 v Shimano Ultegra?

Like the idea of Ultegra as I've currently got Shimano so confident I'll be fine tweaking it all etc. But I had a go with double tap and it was a great shift. Also like the idea of something a bit different to the mainstream :-)

Might be academic as it looks like Force is about £100 more for the group so that could be the deciding factor but interested to get people's real world experience on it.

Love my Sram. Shimano is fine, have it on my winter bike but I like the positivity of Sram, it is light and I like double tap changing.

Yeah I like the positive shifting. Does the yaw action for trimming work well? Does it make it hard to set up?

They are both excellent, some will always tell you to go to SRAM others will say Shimano is better. Just try them both out and take what you feel more comfortable with.

Personally I've had both SRAM and Shimano, and I'll never willingly go back to Shimano.... much prefer the shifting action of SRAM.

The above says it all, i ride shimano and sram and i much prefer the positive feeling of sram and the hood shape .
