Two hardly worn and freshly laundered anyhow, soft shell jackets, neither of which I quite like for various reasons.
Both are size large to fit someone around a 40" chest. I'm 39"
First up is a Tesco Soft shell from their Active range. Straight fit, velcro sleeves, hood with drawstring, chest and side pockets, no drawstring on bottom. Black jacket

Second one is an IcePeak soft shell which is a Finnish make I believe. Chest and side pockets, adjustable hood, velcro sleeves and drawstring bottom. Not as long as the Active above. All pockets are made of a kind of heavy mesh which seems quite robust. One hood string has come out of it's hole and just hangs down (see picture). This happened day one and I think it's just glued in to stop the toggle coming off. Picture gives it a slight bluey tinge but it's quite a neutral grey.
