HP Velotechnik Grasshopper. An unusual folding recumbent bike with under seat steering.
Will fit a small hatchback or upwards for transportation.
Suitable for touring, or general use.
Bought recently, but can’t get on with the seat recline so regrettably for sale.
Very good condition, seems hardly used, paintwork in nearly new condition.
20” wheels, BB7 mechanical discs, front and rear suspension, Bodylink seat, rear rack, headrest.
Comes with mudguards.
It has a SRAM Dualdrive 3X8 rear hub giving 24 gears, range 17.5-89 gear inches. Gearing as bought was 21-100 gear inches, will include original 46T chainring. Grip shift operation. Side stand, mirror, rear rack light included.
Has a new pair of Schwalbe Marathon Greenguard tyres size 47-406
Have fitted a light mount under the boom.
X Seam 37” (94 cm) to 44” (112 cm) with 170mm cranks. Can vary slightly with seat adjustment. Will go shorter, if you can face taking a bit more off the boom.
Extra chain links included so chain can be lengthened to fit if the boom is extended, or larger chainring fitted. Original chainring is included in sale.
