Had a request from the management to fit folding pedals to the bike. The MTB sits on a bracket on the wall and pedals catch. Seen folders on brommie so any suggestions?

Spa do some but wondered the pros and cons

I have something like these fitted.

With the folding head on the bars it makes the bike very slim.
Just you end up with a pair of mucky pedals in your hand.
I carry a plastic bag to pop them in

Would a length of foam pipe insulation, slipped over the cranks and protruding beyond the pedals, give a softer contact against the wall?

Or

You could just remove the pedal each time, before hanging on the wall bracket. Only a minute job to remove a pedal.

The decent quality ones on Brommies are MKS removables, that might be an alternative. Folders (the ones I’ve used) have often failed after a relatively short time and annoyingly flex, depends on your expectations.

Have opted for the QR suggestion from @Gwylan. Not a lot of cash if it doesn't do the job but it will keep the peace for a while.

Also realised that they are ideal for touring when I have to fly the bike somewhere. Easy in and out of the bike bag rather than faffing around.

Another +1 for QR pedals. Additional benefit is extra level of security - pop them off and into your bag.

I wondered about that. Whether they'd notice.

Also whether they might get removed or nicked, then I'm really stuffed.
