hello all,i have been comparing bikes in the 1000 to 1500 price range and have finally decided on the focus cayo compact,it has everything i want in a groupset plus the frame is full carbon and comes in under 1200,my question is has anybody any experience of these bikes are they to good to be true, thankyou

I'm surprised you haven't had any replies as there are a lot of Focus Cayos about. From what I've heard they're highly regarded, though I have no experience of them. They're really well-speced bikes for the price.

Yes theres loads been posted about the Cayo and Focus bikes in general.

You will have no regrets, I have a Focus Variado Expert (2009) alu frame with full ultegra group cost me 699 from wiggle fantastic bike. I have now changed the original Fulcrum 7 wheels to Ksyrium Elites.

I known a couple of lads who have the cayo and i know they think the same a me.

Yep, I own a 2009 cayo 105, got it for £870 and never looked back, outstanding value and an excellent bike.

Yeah my handlebar tape looks disgusting, deffo getting black bar tape next!
