Focus Cayo sizing

Looking at getting first road bike, Focus Cayo 105.

I'm 5 feet 9 with a 31 inch inside leg. The wiggle site has me somewhere between a small 52 or a medium 54 frame size. I know I can send it back if it's not right etc, but which one should I go for? Likely not to be racing, but riding a couple of 100's in the summer / autumn so comfort probably more important than speed.

I'm pretty much the same as you but an inch taller and I gave the 54, I learned my trade on road bikes on a 52cm and the bigger frame is much comfier.

Ta, I was thinking the bigger one would be better for a more relaxed style, can always change the stem if I can't get comfy I guess

I'm just shy of 5'9" with a 32" inside leg and the 54cm fits me pretty well. I was worried the reach would be too great for me going up half a size rather than down but so far it's been really comfy.

The only thing is, as the frame has a horizontal top tube the bike looks too large compaired to my more compact frame as the seat pin doesn't actually stick out very far by conparison. But that's purely aesthetic.
