I have just bought an old white and grey Raleigh Equipe for £20 and very pleased I am with it.

The handlebar tape on at present is probably the original, so it has certainly seen better days.

A friend suggested foam handlebar tape, which I had actually never seen before. It looks pretty easy to fit and comfy too, but I'm not too sure how long it would last.

Are these foam grips any good, or should I stick with he conventional type tape. If tape is better, which brand would folk here recommend please

thank you

If its anything like the old foam stuff fitted to cheap bikes in the 90s it will be crap.

Go with proper tape. Lizardskin is expensive but lasts ages and is massively comfy.
