I have been riding my stock wheel which is a Campy Eurus, low profile for quite sometime. I intend to upgrade to a medium profile.

I have narrowed down my choice, its either Flo Wheel 60 or the Dura Ace 9000 C50.

Would welcome any suggestion and your experience, recommendations.

Tks for great help.

Got no experience and would be interested also. A lot of pro's use the C50's so they won't be a poor wheel. They seem to get reviewed as being quite heavy though from my observations.

A friend really rates his Flo wheel set (90 and 60 I think), they tend to sell out very quickly when they release a new batch so hopefully you are not in a rush. If you have specific questions i can pass them on to him. I cannot comment on the Dura Ace, so this post is probably pretty useless.

I have a pair of C50's. slightly heavier than some other comparable wheel sets, but most of that weight is in the hubs. They roll really well and seem to be bullet proof.

Never ridden a Flo wheel set, so another useless post to add to those above!

A set of Flo 60 weighs 1936g. Dura Ace C50 is 1672g (a saving of 264g). I think by industrial std C50 is pretty ok and not that heavy. But I reckon aero always more imprt than weight. So I will not consider weight as an issue.

And yes, Flo wheels upon opening of taking orders will all snap up within 30 mins. (according to their articles). Probably due to competitiveness of price. But I'm putting price aside for my case.

Still looking for feedback if any.

Tks.

If you are looking for expensive, heavy wheels, then either of those will do. Cheaper, lighter wheels are available. Mostly depends on what kind of riding you intend to do with them.

Sky are on the tubs..not the clinchers. Bit lighter...plus the 50s are mainly used for flat stages...

What would you suggest are the best value 50mm wheels? Clincher

Can't see me ever spending best part of a grand on wheels though...

No such thing, in my view. 50mm clinchers (especially those with an ally brake track) are a bit of a paradox - because they don't do anything particularly well, for the money they generally cost. I personally wouldn't suggest anyone buys them unless they plan on only doing flat TTs.

As ever, the question should start with your planned use - and work from there.

From my point of view my climbing ratio is 85-90ft per mile so I probably wouldn't notice any benefit anyway. I just like the look of them and the c50's can be specified on the bike in getting next. That's my only interest in these wheels perse.

My next bike comes with mavic ksyrium sls. Was thinking of swapping these out for c24's to match the groupset for one reason and because the Mavic's come with white hubs with the rest of the bike being black...
