Hi,

Mrs ISL has a road bike she's barely touched, and has just confessed it's because she hates clip in shoes. So, what small, flats are available? I don't want to get her some huge MTB pedals as they will look out if place, but don't want to get something she'll struggle to grip on.

The bike will be used to get her out on rides, and also be used for about 5 miles into Bristol to help make her commutes easier due to lack/cost of parking.

Thanks in advance :okay:

They sell em as 'track pedals' but these are pretty good.

You don't want folding pedals, but the platform on them tends to be small, which you do want.

Resin offers enough grip, and there's less chance of scuffing than with metal pedals should the Mrs want to ride to work in smartish shoes.

I have a pair of these Decathlon ones (under a different brand), which don't have teeth, but still grip OK apart from when it's wet.

Ignore people saying that you want pinned/pegged/teethed pedals - they're sole-destroying!

Nukeproof Electron pedals are light weight and grip well. They are mountain bike pedals but not huge lumps of metal.

I'd suggest these too. Perhaps also look at the DMR V6 & Superstar El Plastique while you're at it.
