I was sure someone must have asked this before but can't find it...
When fitting these mudguards, the instructions show the mudguard 'hanger', which fits on the brake bolt, as being behind the forks (front) or in front of the stay (rear) so that the hanger is on the opposite side of the fork/frame to the actual brake.
If you've got recessed brake bolt heads as most modern frames do, is there are reason why the hanger can't be put on the brake side of the forks/bridge? Or am I missing something?
I personally can't think of any good reason why the hanger can't go between brake and fork/stay and it seems the only way to fit the things unless you've got an old frame.
Is it any wonder people go for the Race Blades and a 5 minute fitting?
