I just bought some campag chorus brake calipers on ebay. Not used, but I don't know how old they are.

The frame I'm building up has carbon forks and seat stays. The forks are about 40mm deep where the brake fits, the seat stays are about 35mm deep where the brake fits.

The brake calipers have different length fixing bolts - the shorter one is about 10 or 11mm long, the longer one is about 25mm long.

So. Have I just bought the wrong brakes? or can I get some extra long sunken nuts?

IIRC you can buy extended nuts...sure i've seen them somewhere.
Long bolt for the front, short one for the rear.

Yeah I got some when I changed from my old weinman to a set of 105's. However I had to drill out slightly the rear of the fork and rear bridge so the recessed nuts would fit.

Good, good....

I reckon I will need 25mm for the front brake and 30-35mm for the rear - do they come this long? Will my LBS be able to help or is there a web retailer for these things?

Cheers

Hmm not sure about that sort of length. Mine were I seem to recall 14mm long. Got mine from my LBS however had to ask 3 before I found one who had them in.

I can certainly wait, no problem, and I really appreciate your offer.

I'll remind you when I get back to work on the second of Jan.

Many thanks!
