Fitting Mudguards to a road bike

I have just bought a Giant SCR LTD road bike and want to fit mudguards. I have had a look at the bike and cannot work out how you would fit the bridge as on my hybrid the bridge fits direct to the frame as it has v brakes, on the road bike the calipers are fitted where I would normally fit the bridge and the bolt holding the brakes is recessed into the frame, anybody help.:becool:

The recessed bit is a nut (allen). If you undo it the brake plus bolt comes out the front of the fork and you can then fit the bridge over the bolt and replace.
Hope that makes sense - it's easier to do than describe.

This be the way.
Wack the back wheel out, cant remember what allen key fits, but have a fiddle. Unscrew it(will take forever i found) and it will pop off.
Pretty easy really.
