I have changed the saddle on my bike but I can't get it 100% flat. When I put a spirit level in the seat the nose is very slightly pointing up. Will this cause me discomfort?

The adjustment on my Roubaix is a pain. The rear bold is hard to tighter. It is not an Allen key but a round nut that needs to be tightened by hand under the seat. Can someone advise me how best to adjust this.

THIS should help
If not, AASHTA

Hand tight the nut plus a bit more tight using a suitable spanner, until saddle moves only if you press hard on it.
Then put a couple of heavy books or similar on the saddle, spirit level on top, adjust level, firmly tighten nut.
This works for me.

Using a length of wood to check the seat is level is a great tip. Not looking too bad now. I'll ride the bike on Wednesday evening to check its comfortable.

The older I get, the faster I used to be ...
Bike needs to be level for that to work.
+1 - if the bike is not level the saddle won't be. Check that the surface the bike is standing on is level first.

It's on the concrete base of my shed which should be flat. I think a ride on Wednesday will tell me all I need to know. If it feels flat and comfortable I'll be happy.

Put a level on your concrete base and look to see were the bubble is to the lines
bike on the base in the same place, level on the seat get the bubble in the same place as it was on the floor ?
or if you want to get technical spin a lazer level thats how the pro teams do it Trust me Iam a joiner !

First ride on the new saddle tonight. It was only 10 miles but he saddle was very comfortable. I'll have time for a long ride on Saturday to will test it fully then but it feels flat and the position is great.
