Fitting a rack to disc brake bike

A friend and I are cycling across the US next year (www.usacycle2018.com) and he wants a new rack for his disc brake bike (Sabbath)

In looking at it, it looks like a standard rack will fit fine or am I missing something

Left hand side looks like this

only issue I can think of is if the rack is narrow at the top, the strut coming down to the eyelet may touch the disc?

A normal standard rack should attach no problems. I have one attached to my disc braked commuter/tourer and it's never caused any problems.

You can get racks that have a 'bulge' in that side to accommodate that eventuality

It depends where your calliper is mounted, my surly disc trucker orients the calliper just right on the chainstay so it's out of the way of standard racks which work just fine, however my MTB proves problematic with exact same rack as the calliper obstructs the braze-on by the dropout.
