Hi ive ordered a fitbit versa 2 as i dont really like the look of the garmins in my price range, now i know its not the best watch for cycling or running but thats what ive got.

After reading a few reviews online im not sure it does the main thing i wanted it to do!

What im after is to go for a run or ride or do my strength workouts, would always have my phone with me, and be able to upload that to strava easily when im home.

Is that possible with the versa 2?

Well they've not bought it for the technology have they?
Not only will they know what you do online but now how you spend your time off it too.

I’ve got a charge 2 (now replaced by an Apple Watch). I think Strava from phone uploads to it, not the other way. You can measure cycling etc on the wearable but not to sync back to Strava I think. The Versa might be more versatile. You could ask on Fitbit forums?

Ok well sounds like i might have to return it.
The only garmin i was considering was the forerunner 45 so might just go with that instead.

Really dont like the look of the vivoactives but i know they are highly regarded

Why can’t you just record your rides on your phone to Strava?

Im getting into jogging more and more so it would be easier with a watch, also interested in heart rate training with running and strength training so it will help to learn about that.
Cyclings not a problem, just have phone in my pocket, though on long rides would mean i wouldn't have to carry a battery pack and just record through the watch

Do treat HR through wearables with a little pinch of salt as they can be variable in terms of accuracy. Do your research on which best suits your needs

Ok so I returned the Fitbit and I went for a Garmin Forerunner 45.

I actually really like it, the only problem is the heart rate readings are quite accurate but I'm not getting them until about 5 minutes after I should be they're very delayed for some reason.

I'm wearing the Watch correctly slightly up my wrist and not too loose so it's a bit of a disappointment really
