All January I promised myself a ride out. Not one good day on a day I was free!!! Managed to get out today for an hour, only twelve miles but it felt so good!! Roll on better weather!

So we can see from your (current) ticker- don't worry, from the looks of things on here/ talking to others/ looking at myself you're not alone.
The constantly terrible weather mixed with cold weather has been a dire start to cycling year- few weeks though and that should change! :hyper:

Well done, I haven't made it out yet. I'm not keen on the roads around here in the dark (not a street-light anywhere), and I'm also pressed with time on a building project taking up the weekends, and I'm busy with work....... Excuses, excuses I know.
This weekend is my target first outing - I'm bored with the turbo!

We seem to have been lucky in Lincolnshire as I have managed at least twice a week all year, so far. For me the secret to finding the time is getting up early,a few years ago I changed from 7am to 5am that is an extra lot of life I would not have been aware of.

Can't bike today as have to travel quite far to work and will be home late. Was thinking of commuting tomorrow but just seen that there will be 29mph winds!

Still to turn a pedal myself, just not conducive weather, what with all the flooding & cold winds. (I'm aiming at a return to the road in March.)

I don't mind the rain. The only downside for me of the recent weather is having to spend about an hour cleaning my bike after each ride!

The older I get, the faster I used to be ...
Must admit this last week - since Monday - has been difficult, rain is one thing, rain plus gale force winds really gets to me. Was helping out at an Audax checkpoint today, and must admit I was not sorry not to be riding - though I did get restless when the sun shone briefly, the desire evaporated quite quickly when the hail began. Will try for a short ride later this afternoon if the wind drops.
