I had a ride out this morning, specifically to visit two favoured spots, which in previous years have shown the very first stirrings of next spring and was rewarded at both. Bucklebury village for daffys and St Frideswide's churchyard for snowdrops. Here's the proof:-

Global warming, innit.

Winter not even started yet but some plants are a bit confused with the new normal mild temperatures at this time of year.

I'll probably need to run the mower over the grass before I go on holiday in a couple of weeks.

Spotted my first Lamb of the year today. It only looked a couple of days old, was out in the field, had springs in it's legs and it made me smile as I cycled by.
None hear yet but lots of heavily pregnant ewes, so shouldn't be long. Seems to be getting earlier every year but maybe not so surprising when you consider the real cold weather sometimes comes a bit later every year.
