Picked up the new steed yesterday (Merry Christmas to me, from me
)
After some umming and ahhing, I plumped for the EBC Country Explorer and I blooming love it! I was worried that it might be a little on the lazy side, being upright and the fork rake but I'm happy to say that I found it pretty easy to get up to a good speed (not fitted the speedo yet, but it definately felt more similar to my other road bike, rather than the mountain bike)
Only took it for a shopping trip into town and around
For a change, I wasn't worried about adding so much weight to the back wheel when I loaded my panniers up to bursting with shopping (wasn't going to take the trailer out in Xmas shopper traffic)
Didn't feel like I had a load on the back either, bike was quite happy carrying it
Now...I need an excuse to get it back out of the shed and go somewhere else
