Got my first puncture the other day. Whilst going over a bridge in Belgium in the cycle lane, i had to run over some glass, thought i was good. But 2 miles later, as i was about to enter a busy RAB, the back didnt feel right, So i had to get down from 23mph before i got to the RAB, ended up stopping on it. Tried to put pressure in, but it didnt wont any of it So i had to change it, easy, but the amount of people looking was funny, i started to smile and wave Got it done, and put some pressure in with my mini pump. Back to the campsite and put some more in. Monday and i thought i would go to the LBS near, rode down slowly with the back tyre low, it was closed, so i think i will put some more air in. Tried it, lok the pump off and that little screw thing on Presta valves came off, damn Spun the wheel and that was that inner tube gone. So with no other inner tube in i walked back. Put my repaired one in from the day before and put some air in. Up early today and into the LBS to borrow his track pump. All done
The roads in Belgium are very very slippy in the wet, doing 13mph round a RAB and the back end was slipping around. Came to brake whilst in the cycle lane that had small blocks and the back wheel locked straight up. Was abit bad out then
In France now, Ameins(i think thats how its spelt) will be back at home on Saturday. Free internet here Nice sunshine aswell.
But for anyone wanting to go to Belgium, the campsite in Jebeke(think thats how its spelt, will get the name) is bad, you have to pay for the showers and take your own toilet paper. No-where to wash your hands after you've had a crap either.
10-10 everyone
