first clipless ride

Well I fitted my new M520 peddles on my defy popped on my northwave mtb all terrain shoes and off I went. Felt nice and comfy just did a slow 14 miler on the back roads and practiced getting in and out. No real problems apart from I had a bit of a fiddle pulling away on a hill. Cant really peddle at all with out them being clipped in as they just slide every where the shoes that is. I have them slackened right off so they go in and out easy just need practice now.

Well done Captain The more you use them the easier it gets. It took me a long while to get used to them and I went back to flat pedals for a while but now quite happy on them.

As you say clipping back in on an uphill bit is the hardest bit to master, after a while it gets you dont even think about clipping/unclipping.

Wouldnt fancy trying to clip in again after stopping on this though so walked the last 100 meters or so.

That looks great been thinking about you folks all day gutted to miss it but today was my first ride after messing my knees up last weeken.

On the Abergwesyn Road near Llyn Brianne. Known as the Devils Staircase for some reason. Rode it with Lukes Dad this morning starting in Llandovery.
