First clipless moment

It happened today after the 1st week of having my SPD pedals and shoes

Left the house to ride to the gym and went out feeling like I've forgotten something, which after getting to a road crossing at the end of the street realised it was my helmet. I thought I'd try to save un-clipping and began my slow turn but my skills ran out and came to a complete stop, DOH! down I went and braced for impact.

Was quite embarrassing as a neighbour had just pulled out of the street and was coming round as my slow motion descent began so she saw me on the floor. Oh well at least I can say it's happened now and learn from my mistake.

Got straight back on and rode to the gym and home again after my work out without further incident so all ended well.

If you were wearing your helmet, this wouldn't have happened so it proves that the wearing of helmets prevent accidents.

Haha indeed both are true in this case as if I had it on it wouldn't have happened or if I didn't go back it wouldn't have happened lol

Glad to hear it wasn't too serious. I am still recovering from a clipless moment 2 weeks ago, doctor say no exercise until my back is completely better, but I am getting very twitchy at the moment.
All I have learned is just cycle, don't practice...
