Who, me ?
Probably well behind the crowd here but I've just signed up for the Hetherset 30/60/90 (going for the 60).

Still need to buy the bike but there's nothing like having splashed cash to provide an incentive.

Bike will either be a Cannondale Synapse or a Custom Build on a Kinesis T2 frame.

Which Synapse are you thinking of?

Thinking of the 105 with the disc brake.

The thing about the Cannondale that appeals is the fact it's designed for comfort, and the internal cable routeing.
The Kinesis build that is proposed probably has a better wheel spec. I'm thinking that I can always put a better spec of wheel on the Cannondale at some point down the line.

I had already signed up for the Manchester Blackpool, and the 26 mile great Manchester cycle, before I bought my first bike.

Now I am panic cycling as I thought it would be easier than it is, but it's all good fun lol!

I had / have got the Hethersett ride down as lone of my potential sportives for next year and strangely am also considering a Kinesis frame for a custom build into a winter / commuter bike. Small world.

That's the ALU framed one isn't it? There was a review of it in this months Cycling Plus. Have ridden a carbon Synapse and love the geometry.

Yes, the 105 is ALU frame and carbon/alu fork., as is the Kinesis. I haven't seen that mag in my local WHS, but I will now be trying to find a copy to read the review. What did you like about the geometry of the one you rode?
